Jonathan Moser is the founder and managing director of Railfreight Solutions. He has been involved in the rail freight industry for over 25 years, both as a major service provider and as a significant buyer and user of rail freight. He has a wide-ranging knowledge of the UK rail freight market and has held directorships for two of the leading freight operating companies in the UK.
He specialises in the business development and commercial aspects of rail freight, assisted by his detailed knowledge of the UK rail and road networks. Prior to specialising in rail freight, his career has involved working in the chemical, oil, coal and power industries and all have had a common theme of logistics. This has included not only rail but also road transport, barging, global shipping and pipelines. In addition, whilst working within the international coal industry, he headed up a coal trading department undertaking both physical and financial trading.

Jonathan has an honours degree in Applied Chemistry and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport. He also holds a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in road transport operations and has certification in a range of Association of Supply Chain Management disciplines including strategic planning, inventory management and material requirement planning.
